Somerset’s GPs remind patients to get their repeat prescriptions now
With the Easter Bank Holiday fast approaching, Somerset’s GPs are reminding patients to order and collect their repeat prescriptions before Good Friday (30 March).
Dr Ed Ford, a Minehead GP and Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group’s Chairman, said: “Every Bank Holiday we find some patients forget to re-order their essential medicines in good time and as a consequence, they become very anxious and may even end up calling the urgent or emergency services for help.
“If you take daily prescription medicines please take five minutes to check whether you have sufficient supplies for the Bank Holiday weekend. If not, please get your repeat prescription at the start of the week, not the day before the holiday.”
