As a Clinical Commissioning Group, we plan, buy and monitor most local NHS services in Somerset through a process called commissioning. We do this on behalf of the people of Somerset, our patients and their carers.
We are responsible for shaping and transforming the everyday health services that people rely on – everything from seeing a GP to emergency care in hospital.
Together with our wide range of partners and providers, it is our job to make sure that our local NHS is fit for the future – supporting people to live happy, healthy lives.
We work with and for our local communities. At the heart of every decision is our commitment to deliver the health and care services the people of Somerset expect and deserve.
We value our staff and look to recruit talented and enthusiastic people who share our vision and values, care passionately about people and healthcare and are effective at what they do.
We currently employ around 230 people and offer career opportunities in many fields, from clinical roles to corporate service posts.
