Local Medical Committee Observer
Dr Nick Bray was trained at Cambridge and Birmingham before completing his GP training in Somerset. He worked for a short while as a Medical Officer in Whangaroa, New Zealand, before returning to take up his GP post at North Petherton in 1990.
He joined the Somerset Local Medical Committee in 2007, and is currently the LMC Vice-Chairman and Observer on the Clinical Operations Group. Nick is also the Chair of the Bridgwater Bay Commissioning Locality.
Nick believes in the value of a registered patient list, and that strong primary care is essential if the NHS is to meet the substantial challenges that it faces in the coming years. He feels that the good relationships that have been built over many years between the various local health organisations and providers of healthcare need to be protected and strengthened now more than ever.
